TED HAS CRAFTED AN AFFINITY FOR CREATING MICRO REALISTIC, CONCEPTUAL MOTIFS WITH CLASSICAL INFLUENCE. HIS INSATIABLE PURSUIT OF GROWTH FOUND HIMSELF TREADING WATERS ABROAD STUDYING THE MASTERS OF SCULPTURE AND CALLIGRAPHY AND CAN OFTEN BE FOUND IN HIS WORK. TATOOING SINCE 2012, TED IS A TRUE ARTIST AT HEART COMMITTED TO DELIVERING EVERY TATTOO WITH AUTHENTICITY AND STYLE.

In 2010, Rick's creativity ignited a burning passion that led him to embark on an epic tattoo journey while pursuing his studies in multimedia and 3D animation. With a fine arts background fuelling his talents, he specialises in black and grey realism tattoos, with portraiture and larger scale pieces that will leave you in awe. In 2017, Rick teamed up with the incredible Ted Flintstxne to co-found the Descriptive Art Collective

Matt has been tattooing since 2013, focusing primarily on realism and Japanese-influenced tattoos in both black and grey and colour. This middle-aged, skydiving, motorcycle riding, orphan with a checkered past eats, breathes, and sleeps tattooing because his autistic ADHD side doesn't allow him to stick to anything else. Although he may look scary, if you see him, say hello - you'll see he's a big softy.

Josh is a Cape Town local who shifted from an engineering job to become a full-time tattooer. He has been tattooing for two years and began his apprenticeship under Rick at Descriptive Art in early 2020. He specializes in fineline black and grey realism and illustrative work, and aims to match the skills of those who taught him

Melissa has been tattooing since 2019, and she has never felt more alive. Tattooing has saved her in more ways than one, and she sees every tattoo as an opportunity to give thanks and to grow. She enjoys all styles of tattooing, but Melissa has always gravitated towards Black and Grey Realism on small or larger scales.
